Chase Elleby is an attorney at Joel Williams Law, LLC representing people who have been injured due to someone else’s negligence.  He handles a variety of personal injury cases including auto and truck collisions, school bus accidents, medical malpractice, negligent security, wrongful death, and day care injuries.

Chase can help with every step of the claims process. This includes helping you find a doctor after a personal injury, negotiating with an insurance company, filing a lawsuit, trying a lawsuit, and negotiating medical bills. Utilizing his negotiation and litigation skills, Chase has recovered millions and millions of dollars for his clients.

Prior to representing the injured and their families, Chase represented corporations and insurance companies. His prior experience as a defense attorney gives Chase a unique perspective in understanding how insurance companies work, which he now uses for his clients’ benefit.  Chase’s extensive knowledge of automobile insurance law and medical billing and medical insurance coverage is often instrumental in maximizing his client’s recovery. 

Chase was raised in Kennesaw, Georgia where he graduated from Kennesaw Mountain High School.  After high school, he attended Florida State University earning dual degrees in Political Science and Social Science. Chase then studied law at Georgia State University College of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor degree. While in law school, he earned numerous awards for his performance in the classroom. Chase is admitted to practice law in all Georgia trial courts, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia.

In his spare time, Chase enjoys playing golf and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Joel Williams Law Office Manager Karen Cheney

Karen joined Joel Williams Law, LLC in 2014 as our office manager and a senior paralegal. She wears many different hats in an effort to keep the firm moving forward in a cost-efficient, productive, and professional manner. As our lead paralegal, Karen works diligently to support our legal team during every stage of the litigation process. When helping clients, Karen offers compassion and understanding. She understands that every client is unique; therefore, she goes the extra mile to fulfill the individual needs of everyone who reaches out to us for help. 

Karen was born and raised in south Georgia.  She received her associate’s degree from Andrew College in Business/Accounting and a bachelor’s degree from Troy State University in Secondary Education/Mathematics.  Prior to joining the firm in 2014, Karen taught for several years as a high school math teacher in Early County and Henry County, Georgia. She even taught high school geometry to our founding partner, Joel Williams.

In her personal time, Karen enjoys spending time with her family and friends.


Joel Williams Law Paralegal Shannon Sullins

Shannon grew up in a military family and traveled the United States as a child. She eventually ended up in Warner Robins, Georgia after her father was transferred to Robins Air Force Base.   Shannon graduated from Houston County High School and the University of Georgia where she obtained a degree in Scientific Illustration. After graduation, Shannon attended a Medical Illustration program at the Cleveland Institute of Art where she expanded her knowledge of art, anatomy, and medicine through medical classes at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine.

After graduate school, Shannon began working at Nucleus Medical Media as a Medical Illustrator and Animator. At Nucleus, Shannon gained over 11 years of experience in the field of Medical Legal Illustration. Shannon’s education and experience as a medical illustrator equipped her with extensive knowledge of the human body and injuries commonly seen in personal injury lawsuits.

At Joel Williams Law, Shannon works with clients and attorneys to gather, analyze, and organize medical records and bills for settlement and trial. She also creates illustrations of complex medical procedures that our attorneys use during depositions and trials. Joel Williams Law paralegal Kyle McManus

Kyle joined Joel Williams Law in 2018 as the front office receptionist as well as a paralegal working primarily with Attorney Chase Elleby. Kyle is our official “Happiness Maker.” Her primary responsibility is to provide clients and our referral partners with a “WOW” experience they’ve never had before at any other law firm. Kyle greets each of our clients with a positive and caring attitude. Her multitasking skills and customer service experience enables her to work directly with our clients throughout the entire process of their case. Personal attention is her specialty!

Kyle grew up in Acworth, Georgia and graduated from Allatoona High School. She then went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Behavioral Forensics at Kennesaw State University. Kyle is currently working on obtaining her paralegal certification at Kennesaw State University. Prior to joining the firm, Kyle worked as a manager for a café and bakery in Marietta, Georgia.

In her spare time, Kyle enjoys spending time with friends and family at the lake, going to baseball games, and riding horses.
